This week we will continue to launch Reader/Writer Workshop and practice workshop procedures according to the participation rubric.
Readers will:
- Continue silently reading their chosen books and use their Reading Notebooks and post-it notes to record prompted information such as: multiple meaning words, idioms, root words, prefixes and suffixes. They will also practice verbally retelling/summarizing plot and character information during conference time.
Writers will:
- Continue working on the rough draft of their short stories, perform revision and peer editing and noting multiple meaning words, idioms and root words, prefixes and suffixes in their own writing. Individual instruction will be giving during conference time. Once the rough draft has been edited, writers will begin work on the final versions of their short stories.
